On March 25, 2023, Marcus Emmett Dent Sr. was welcomed into paradise.
He was born in Philadelphia on September 28, 1968, and is the adored son of Monica (née Snyder) and the late Robert Dent.
In 1986, he received his diploma from North Catholic High School and continued on to Temple University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance. While attending Temple University, he met Brigitte (nee Jordan), the love of his life and closest friend, and their family flourished.
For 32 years, he was a dedicated husband, a beloved father to Marcus Emmett Dent, Jr. (Rachel), Connor Gerard Dent, and Avery Elizabeth Dent, a devoted Bucky to his two grandsons, Marcus Emmett Dent III and Kelly Michael Dent, a dear brother to Matthew Dent (Theresa), a dearly loved brother-in-law, and
uncle and numerous others’ friend. All those who loved him will genuinely mourn him.
Before deciding to follow his passion for coffee and his local community, Marc spent more than 25 years working hard and dedicating himself to success in the asset management business. Marc co-founded and inaugurated “House Cup Coffee Cafe” in 2020. The cafe has rapidly developed into a favored hangout for the Havertown neighborhood.
Spending time with his loved ones, coworkers, and neighbors was Marc’s favorite past time when he was not working. He had the uncanny ability to make everyone around him grin, and he was always the life of the party. especially when he created or discovered the chance to
deliver a stirring speech or prepare a delectable meal for loved ones. That will play a sizable role in his reputation.
Despite all of his successes, Marc never lost sight of his Frankford origins. Marc made friends who he now considered family in this close-knit community and developed connections that have lasted his entire life.
Marc’s time on earth was far too brief, but his love and memory will endure in the hearts of everyone he impacted.
