Twitch star Amouranth makes crazy money from sleeping

One of the world’s most popular Twitch influencers, Amouranth, has revealed her most lucrative income stream — letting viewers watch her sleep.

Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa, rose to fame on Twitch, a video game live-streaming platform on which she earns cash doing a few unusual things.

Speaking to ‘The Iced Coffee Hour’ podcast earlier this week, the influencer revealed one of her best money-making ventures — sleep streams.

Sleep streams, as the name suggests, are simply live streams of people sleeping as viewers watch on.

For male streamers, Amouranth explained, the streams are lucrative because viewers will donate money in an attempt to wake the streamer up, either through notifications or by using media share to play loud music or videos.

Her viewers, she guessed, were more likely to tune in as a form of voyeurism.

Amouranth claimed her sleep streams were so popular she earned upwards of $9940 in just a few hours.

“If you count just on Twitch, probably like a couple thousand dollars,” she said.

“But, if you count the conversions, potentially to OnlyFans, while I’m sleeping, then maybe like $10,000 to $15,000 .”

Amouranth detailed a few of the other money-making ventures she’d tried throughout the years, including OnlyFans and investments in gas stations and real estate.

She estimated her total monthly income was $2 million per month.

When asked why she didn’t stream herself sleeping every night, Amouranth said scheduling issues made it difficult.

“Scheduling gets complicated because I might have a photo shoot the next morning or something,” she explained.

“I feel like if you do it too much, it will become no longer a novelty.”
